
Minister Stretch Sanders is a 31 year old Husband to Kendall Sanders & Father to Stoney and Stevie Sanders. He is the President and Founder of the Stretch For Change Foundation and Community Crusaders LV. He has been a community leader for 12 years.
He is also an author of two books, a historian, genealogist, revolutionary, minister, community organizer and he is best known for being the youngest in history to run for Mayor in Las Vegas.
As an empowerment speaker and licensed Minister he lectures and organizes events that are geared towards personal growth, unity and love. Due to his accomplishments and passion for community service he was honored with February 19th being proclaimed Minister Stretch Sanders Day in the City of Las Vegas.
He has organized over 500 events that have brought together more than 10,000 people. His most successful events include the We Deserve To Live; George Floyd Rally that brought together 6,000 people, Blessed Giving; Community Dinner and the A Gathering For The Black Family. His non profit The Stretch For Change Foundation has fed hundreds through its program Love To The Streets program.
As an historian and researcher he has studied the life of African Americans particularly in Vegas back to 1907. His book Las Vegas Black figures (children’s book) is teaching thousands of children about the Black culture of Las Vegas.
As a genealogist he has traced his family back to 1810 as well as planned their family reunion which host over 475 relatives.
He is a also member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Nevada (Phillip E Bell, Jr. Lodge #5), NAACP Las Vegas Chapter and the African American Nevada Genealogy Society.
