BioPaul Vautrinot

Paul Vautrinot is a seasoned expert in addiction recovery, homelessness, and criminal justice reform, with extensive leadership experience in medical and clincal operations as well as program operations, nonprofit management, and collaborative initiatives. Drawing from his lived experience as a person in long-term recovery since 2014, Paul has dedicated his career to supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorder and homelessness.

As the executive vice president of CrossRoads of Southern Nevada, Nevada’s largest indigent detox and treatment facility, and former director of programs at Freedom House, Paul has played a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive care and rehabilitation services, Ranging from Detox, Inpatient and Outpatient treatment along with Transitional Housing.

In 2017, Paul founded the Shine A Light Foundation, which provides immediate placement solutions and comprehensive case management to help individuals navigate health and human services in Clark County. Through its continuity case management program, Shine A Light works to remove barriers to long-term recovery and housing stability, maintaining a 65% retention rate and graduating an average of 150 individuals annually from its 12- to 18-month program.

Paul’s impact extends beyond direct service delivery to systemic change. He serves as co-chair of the Criminal Justice Coordination Council’s Subcommittee on Homelessness and Mental Health for Clark County and the 8th District Judicial Court, where he works to develop sustainable, community-based solutions at the intersection of mental health, homelessness, and the justice system.

His commitment to advocacy and education is reflected in his board service, including his previous cycle as vice president of "There is No Hero in Heroin," from 2020-2022, and as a Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2020 alumnus. From 2021 to 2023, he served as a homelessness and substance use presenter for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Police Academy, providing critical training to law enforcement on effective intervention and community-based solutions. Paul continues to drive innovative strategies that promote recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term stability for vulnerable populations.
